Las Hermanas Verán is a dance project by Andrea Cruz inspired by contemporary photography and analyzes how some cinematographic and photographic images are potential choreographies. It questions the emotional content, the aesthetic meaning that transcends these images and, as a result, Cruz develops his own choreography in which the body, image and memory coexist to generate a story that goes beyond this Static-imagined choreography.
Genre: object theatre, New dramaturgies, dance
Andrea Cruz develops her work around the scene of dance, gesture, and objects, creating a poetical and visual work. She generally works based on the image and everything she can extract from it, such as movement, aesthetics, emotions, atmosphere. She is interested in provoking emotions to the audience, especially those that move them to unknown places, sometimes their own inner universe.
