'Bernat' is metatheatre: a theater producer has commissioned her partner and actor to put on stage poems by Bernat Vidal Tomàs to celebrate their centenary. The actor in question awaits the arrival of his father to introduce his girlfriend to him. He wants to marry her, but her Catalanism and the Spanishism of the father provoke a comedy that allows to place both Catalan language and Mallorcan culture in the axis of the conversation through the figure of Bernat Vidal i Tomàs.
