Parenòstic is the new project by Anna Ferrer; a solo show, directed by the renowned transgressive artist El Niño de Elche and in which the artist will combine the work tunes and the liturgical songs of Menorca associated with festivities and specific moments of the year, with his own creations. A kind of yearbook where tradition and creation go hand in hand. She, a guitarró, an acoustic guitar, a synthesizer, some castanets, a tambourine and a technical work of sound and lights that transforms the rawness into immensity.
After having thanked and praised his roots and tradition with Tel·lúria, and having experimented at a compositional and production level with electronics on the album Krönia, Parenòstic arrives with serenity and balance, the project that will flourish from of the spring of 2021.
A kind of temporary culmination of Anna Ferrer's personal and artistic process, as she lives, creates and shares the integration of the opposites that “creation” and “tradition” imply for her. With Tel·lúria she made an apology for this folklore that places it both in the human world and culturally; with Krönia she frees herself from made her feel so much part of a single source code, and she revolutionizes the Anna from the previous album allowing herself to include sounds that are not linked to his supposed strictly folkloric musical identity. Now, reassured from this internal creative combat, she understands that she is a whole, that creation and tradition go hand in hand, and that she, in particular, cannot create without taking into account tradition, and cannot stop singing the tradition without contributing part of their creativity.
