Gipó brings a contemporary point of view to Mallorcan music. Taking into account the musical legacy that the Balearic culture has given them, they have gone through a creative process with great care and respecting the essence as much as possible, resulting in a pleasant and intimate sound, close to Jazz.

They are aware that many artists have mixed traditional music with other styles, but they perceive its influence not as a mixture, but as an interpretation of popular songs and melodies, but with today's technology, which allows them to contribute news with the harmony and rhythm, as well as with sounds. This is their concept of evolution and they consider that it is what gives life to culture, just as the plows pulled by mares have become tractors or the doublet (gipó in Catalan) could now be a jacket.

The musicians who are part of the project are Mary Lambourne (voice), Gori Matas (keyboard and synthesizer), Teo Salvà (drums) and Josep Oliver (trumpet and production).
