At the age of 45, Rosa is diagnosed with a breast tumor. She doesn’t feel like a warrior or a heroine, she wouldn’t even want to be told she’s a brave. Rosa will face the disease because she has no other choice, because she loves her life, her family, her job, her environment. Because she doesn't want to leave. Not yet.

While breast cancer does not need to be made visible, as it is the cancer that has inspired more campaigns and generated more merchandising, there are some issues around the disease that are not part of the general and socially accepted discourse that this work reveals, such as life, and the way we live it, among others.

There are many women who have suffered from this disease and haven't been heard. How many people have met a woman who has been through this within their family or in a close environment? What do we know about the circumstances they experience during the illness? And after overcoming it? Do we understand that once someone can return to "normal" life, they no longer have any side effects? What would people who have gone through a life-changing episode like this tell us? How does a disease like this affect us, as human beings and as women? This is as good a time as any to look face to face and listen carefully to the experiences of a woman who has suffered from this disease and wants to tell us about it. Maybe that way we can be more empathetic and make the path easier for her.
