In June 1998, when she was 21, Aina Tur was in Latin America taking part in an international cooperation project with other Spanish citizens when they were the victims of an armed attack. That experience changed the author’s life, because it was a tough situation and also because of the consequences. A few days later, they saw how the fact that four of the victims were Europeans had triggered some mechanisms that would never have been activated for any inhabitant of the country they were in. What happened left its mark on the author’s life, and maybe those of the other aid workers with her at the time.
El Maldà is a unique venue in the city of Barcelona, for its history and idiosyncrasy, it gives priority to stable companies and offers theater, music, dance and cabaret shows. Els Pirates Teatre, a company born in 2001 in Barcelona, is in charge of managing this space with the intention of offering shows from various disciplines in a unique and historic space where the public can enjoy an intimate and personal experience.
