Fils de vida is articulated from the emotional journeys by the family memories of three characters marked by the Xueta stigma. The survival of the exclusion of converts in Mallorca is unique in the entire history of Judaism and has marked, sometimes subtly and sometimes painfully explicitly, its social behavior. Dr. Josep Pomar said in one of the interviews prior to this assembly that during the nineteenth and twentieth centuries there was no law that excluded the Xuetes, but that the exclusion, favored from the thirties by Franco's anti-Semitism, went be very present in Mallorca until well into the twentieth century. "All families are pursuing happiness, but we have had to look for it in the midst of cruises and the cracks of contempt," a witness told us. "Being a Xueta was a constant struggle, although sometimes it was so subtle that you weren't even afraid of it," said another.
Our proposal gathers current and documented experiences to build three family stories between reality and fiction, in a scenic space where life and death share the present. It is a montage without condescension, only missing, which aims to provide a theatrical vision to the extensive bibliography on the subject. Theater has the power to recover lost souls and return the voice to the dead. Perhaps this is one of the keys to being able to build the present with honesty and justice.

Iguana Teatre is a production and distribution company founded at the end of 1985. Its main objective is to create shows aimed at a mainstream audience, always with the perspective of offering quality theatre in which different artistic manifestations converge, recovering its own and universal classics with a modern conception, as well as the continuous research of new theatrical lines.
Iguana Teatre has more than 35 years of history and 47 shows, ranging from classical authors such as Shakespeare, Chekhov, Molière or Wilde, to street theatre, without forgetting its own creations (collective or by the director Pere Fullana).
A characteristic feature of Iguana Teatre is, in the words of Damià Pons, professor and lecturer of contemporary Catalan literature at the UIB: a tense and dense lyricism, in the well-finished details, in the ability to know how to incite the audience to guess under the skin of each play a voice that speaks to them from deep inside.
The company is a limited company made up of three partners: Jordi Banal, Pere Fullana and Carles Molinet.
