Petites tragèdies (by Pere Fullana based on the play by Aleksandr Pushkin) is a cycle of four one-act plays whose action takes place in Western Europe at different times. The plot of three of the works (El convidat de pedra, El cavaller avar, Mozart i Salieri) is based on human passions: love and deception, jealousy, greed and envy, which the author turns into dramatic manifestations; the theme of the fourth work, Una festa en temps de pesta, is a global catastrophe, conceived as proof or punishment, a theme that could not be more current.
In fact, we could say that Pushkin is the first 'postmodernist', he freely uses any context, freely originates literary games and deceptions, and manipulates quotations as he pleases. The result of this freedom, the free breathing of these works, is the life that beats in each of their lines. Two hundred years later, the texts give the impression of having been written today. Pushkin created parabolic works, brilliant in their brevity, the action of which is attributed to distant times, but reading them one cannot get rid of the feeling of his enduring modernity. Each of them deals with a vain and erroneous search for the meaning of being. Neither money, nor art, nor the excitement of a love hunter, are capable of answering a simple childish question: "Why are we in this world?" A person who believes in his invulnerability and chooses any of these "values" as a fetish loses his sense of self. existence inevitably confronts destiny and finitude itself.

Iguana Teatre is a production and distribution company founded at the end of 1985. Its main objective is to create shows aimed at a mainstream audience, always with the perspective of offering quality theatre in which different artistic manifestations converge, recovering its own and universal classics with a modern conception, as well as the continuous research of new theatrical lines.
Iguana Teatre has more than 35 years of history and 47 shows, ranging from classical authors such as Shakespeare, Chekhov, Molière or Wilde, to street theatre, without forgetting its own creations (collective or by the director Pere Fullana).
A characteristic feature of Iguana Teatre is, in the words of Damià Pons, professor and lecturer of contemporary Catalan literature at the UIB: a tense and dense lyricism, in the well-finished details, in the ability to know how to incite the audience to guess under the skin of each play a voice that speaks to them from deep inside.
The company is a limited company made up of three partners: Jordi Banal, Pere Fullana and Carles Molinet.
