Àvol vindicates the figure of the artist through four characters who meet, suddenly, with the need to reinvent themselves. The situation that ensues transports them to a scenic universe created from bamboo sticks and ropes. Overcoming new challenges leads them to develop previously hidden skills. Together they explore artistic creation and establish a dialogue with the audience about identity and the feeling of belonging. The work is a comic and reflective manifestation in relation to the current role of culture through the contemporary circus. Circ Bover ends a five-year cycle of research with bamboo and its possibilities applied to the circus. During this time, the company has premiered Vincles, Nòmades, Sentinel and culminates with Àvol. A research work that has been awarded nationally and internationally and that has provided the company with more than four hundred functions around the world.
