Delight is a duo formed in 2019 by the Catalans Naima Ventura and María del Río. They make tender and honest songs, of an introspective nature, in which they show their most sincere concerns and how their deepest feelings affect them. A visceral and endearing message that they dress with jazz roots, derived from their training at the Liceu conservatory in Barcelona. Roots that in their creative process give rise to experimentation and transport them towards neo-soul, pop or electronic music, and bring them closer to their greatest influences, which include, among others, Moonchild, Nick Hakim, Hiatus Kaiyote, Erykah Badu, Frank Ocean and Daniel Caesar. In the spring of 2021 they released two singles, "We Made Love" and "Start", and in January 2022 a third, "Demon", has been released. A triplet that has served as a preview of what is his debut album, "I'll Be Back In June", produced by Arnau Figueres and Kquimi Saigi and published in March of this year. In the consistency of the nine songs that compose it, his solid live experience is verified, with more than fifty concerts in his curriculum, highlighting performances at the Barcelona Jamboree, the Granollers Jazz Festival or the Sant Pere de Ribes Monocicle Festival. . An album in which Delight talk about sadness and pain, but also about embracing those feelings without feeling judged. With lyrics that claim how to learn to live with all that without feeling any kind of remorse. Or as they themselves explain, "this whole album talks a little about the fact that we are people and things happen to us and sometimes they hurt and make us sad and nothing happens".
