Antoine Boyer is an internationally renowned guitarist who drank from the most authentic sources of Gypsy jazz at an early age and was a student of the masters Mandino Reinhardt and Francis Alfred Moerman. Classically trained at the same time, he combines different musical worlds and plays what he calls “open jazz”. In May 2021, his new album Tangram is released, which he recorded together with the fantastic harmonica player Yeore Kim. Their two instruments harmonise in a style that leaves plenty of room for improvisation and is reminiscent of influences by Django Reinhardt, Toots Thielemans or Radiohead.
