Heklos are two young classically trained multi-instrumentalists and musicians from Eivissa and residents of the island. They produce inspiring ambient music performed with a massive Live Looping setup. Their debut single Pájaros y Ballenas is just the beginning of a journey for those who want to fly with their eyes closed. It tells the story of a warm last embrace between two friends who have only one possible and safe place to meet after a long time, like that of a bird and a whale before flying high and sinking to the bottom of the ocean.
A massive Live Looping montage is presented on stage, bringing together world music instruments of all kinds (about 50 traditional flutes, sitar, handpan, didgeridoo...) with electronic sounds (synthesizers, sequencers, digital rhythm machines). ..), creating a special and unique audiovisual show, achieving an experimental style and a very original atmosphere. Cello, flutes, sitar, handpan, Indian tables, didgeridoo, guitar, bass, piano, synthesizers, percussion and voice will take the audience to a definitive dimension of sound, movement and emotion.
Heklos is currently writing and working on T-MINUS, his first album, exploring powerful sounds and ethnic rhythms from different cultures around the world with the background of classical music connecting these fellow musicians. Its release will be next October. It is conceived as a space trip beyond the stars and at the same time as an introspective process that attempts to reflect on the need for human beings to search for life beyond, perhaps forgetting life on our planet too often.
