Five bodies that revisit the space, observe it, explore it, move through it and modify it, motivated by the conflict generated by the hostility of not finding a meeting place in the public space. Using a basic recipe, the proposal adapts and reformulates itself according to the space and the context it inhabits. Through movement, sound and the subversion of signage, the bodies invite us to reflect on public space, the dynamics that we reproduce in it, the ways of occupying it, understanding it and the value that each one gives to it.
CREATION AND PRODUCTION: COLLECTIVE GÜILIS
COL·LECTIU: Joan Servera Bibiloni, Núria Sbert, Gypsy Nel·lo Peeters, Lluki Portas, Cintia de Luis, Joan Maria Pascual.
ASSESSORIA: SERGI ESTEBANELL
Las Güilis are a collective of dissident artists who break into the ürbic space through interventions composed of physical images based on a socio-political questioning. We believe that it is necessary to fight alienation and individualism in order to recover community space. That is why we propose: the re-appropriation of public space to re-signify it as a common space and to live it as a refuge and not as hostile. We have been working on public space through our bodies since 2016. We take as references different authors from the fields of architecture, urbanism, sociology and art; and we design and experiment with different practices in the search for our own scenic language.
