FIGUES D'UN ALTRE PANER is a folk music group that draws especially from the Menorcan tradition, but also from all Catalan-speaking lands. It began composing and compiling its repertoire in April 2020 with a clear desire to continue experimenting with traditional music through a polyphonic treatment of voices and a feminist vision in the treatment of the lyrics. The string and percussion instrumentation adds gravity and forcefulness to the product.

The group is driven by the desire to continue researching and innovating traditional music, which its members have been working on for more than 20 years, hand in hand with musical projects such as S'Albaida, the duet A Permanecer, or the musical and artistic direction of the recent

Homenaje en Traginada, promoted by the Consell Insular de Menorca. The current proposal is based on the careful treatment of vocal polyphony (with 4 voices) and in the harmonisation and rhythmic production, with the traditional instruments of the guitar and guitarrón, and the incorporation of the electric bass and percussion. The sung language is a characteristic of Menorcan popular culture.

Figues d'un altre paner, revisits songs that form part of the traditional Menorcan repertoire, as well as those of Mallorca, Ibiza, Catalonia and the Valencian Community, and adapts them with musical daring from two perspectives: vocal polyphony and a differentiated harmonisation and rhythmic treatment.
