Sinéad Cormican Benítez was born in Palma in 1995. With an Irish father and a mother from Cádiz, she grew up in a house where music and different cultures coexisted simultaneously. She studied violin for twelve years at the Escuela Municipal de Música de Calvià, and at the age of eighteen she decided to further her violin studies by taking the Higher grade in classical violin performance at the Conservatorio Superior de las Islas Baleares (Higher Conservatory of the Balearic Islands). After two years on the island, she decided to move to finish her studies at the Conservatorio del Liceo, Barcelona, graduating in 2018. This change is motivated by the violinist's interest in the world of jazz, of which Barcelona is a pioneer. After three years of taking classes and training in this field, she returned to Mallorca to begin the advanced course in jazz singing, which she is currently studying. During this period of time living in Barcelona, Sinéad met Mallorcans Tomeu Garcias (trb), Joan Garcias (cbx) and Toni Vaquer (pn), starting a very strong friendship. This led to making music together and since 2018 they are part of the Voodoo Children Big Band. They have shared many hours of rehearsals, stages and trips in different formats. It is a band with an almost familial relationship. Therefore, in Sang's project, there is a connection and respect that develops into music made with a lot of care and love.
