The trio other:M
aims to create a rhythmic sound symbiosis. Acoustic and electronic sounds merge seamlessly, creating percussive impulse battles that draw inspiration equally from experimental music and beat-related club music. With an unconventional line-up, advanced playing techniques, and a freely improvisational approach, they explore the boundaries of musical genres and masterfully understand how to translate their own sound language into a wide variety of stage settings, concert formats, and stylistic contexts.
The trio, founded in 2020, released their debut album metaMorph in collaboration with the Klanggalerie Vienna label, after a two-year research phase with several residencies (Zwischenoene / Salzburg, Hotel Pupik / Styria, Brennkammer / Porgy & Bess) and numerous live performances (Jazz Festival Alto Adige, Klangfestival Gallneukirchen). The album is a compilation of recordings from various live performances in 2022 and showcases the band from their most characteristic side: as a live improvisational band that expresses its full potential from the moment, through mutual dialogue and audience energy.
