The word Pitxorina means “young, cheerful, and talkative girl,” a Mallorcan term that has fallen out of use, especially in the eastern part of Mallorca. This is how the 9 musicians who are part of the musical project define themselves. The project was born from the desire to share the music of Mallorca’s folk songbook and give it a twist with their own arrangements.
