A hydraulic piston crushes a pile of objects mercilessly. A glacier melts in slow motion. Japanese office workers advertise chewing gum. Video after video, the depths of social media seem endless. And yet, where are we going? How far can we go? Scroll is a plunge into the collective imaginary of social networks and technological virtualities, a mutant landscape that is already part of our way of understanding and relating to the world. Seemingly devoid of limits, virtual space incessantly reminds us of the same choreography: forwards, backwards, upwards, downwards. Sequences of actions guided by our curiosity, and curiosities that guide the advertisements and content we receive on the screen. In the virtual world, our interests become patterns, and we increasingly become consumers. Scroll is the reflection of four dancers before the mirror of social networks and the movement patterns they propose to us. A portrait that is at once intimate, human and digital, where humour and tragedy almost touch.
