BAD MOON, winner of the ‘City of Palma Margaluz Performing Arts Award 2023’, premiered in February 2023 at Palma's Teatro Principal. The production was co-produced by Palma's own Teatro Principal, together with the Migrantes troupe. In May 2023, the text was published in book form by the Documenta Balear publishing house.
It is an original text and slim opera by a new playwright, Héctor Seoane, who at the end of 2023 was author-in-residence at the Tub de Palma, working on his second play, LA COMPOSTURA. Seoane is accompanied by Alberto Conejero, one of the leading playwrights on the current scene of playwriting on a national and international level.
BAD MOON brings us closer to behavioural disorders and mental health, making obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) visible. It is a fictional story, written from real witnesses of people with different types of OCD, family members of people with OCD, and mental health professionals who treat this type of disorder.
