The Altars Profans project takes shape and is based on some of Catany's discursive parameters. In this way, the piece highlights the work and the figure of the internationally renowned artist. It also takes as a poetic example the very title of the exhibition, Altars Profans. The Toni Catany Foundation chose to show part of his photographic legacy, precisely that which has to do with the genre of still lifes and the composition of objects.

The company Magdalena Garzon was consolidated in 2016 with the creation of the piece Verònica for non-conventional theatrical spaces. Even so, since 2011 she has been refining her choreographic interest in the relationship between music and dance, creating the pieces Astres Mínims, Hitzak, matáforas cachées and Saïdia. Altars profans is the latest piece created for medium-format theatre, based on the photography of Toni Catany. His poetics is defined, among other ways, by the concept of innovated tradition.
