Lila was born from the hand of Emiliano Matesanz in 2014 when he premiered his first play installation ‘Lila el joc Diví’ in the Plaza Mayor in Gijón, with great support and acceptance from the public. This same year it was selected to participate in FETEN, and to participate with more than fifty games in Australia in The Lost Lands festival, dedicated to family audiences. In 2015 the company premiered ‘Cambiar de cara’, an interactive installation built with magnetized pieces that invites the public to build their own sculpture. With this proposal, the company has established itself on the national festival circuit and in the Christmas programme of some theatres. This year it is also consolidating its educational facet by visiting schools with its installations.
In June 2015, they inaugurated their pedal-powered junk carousel. In 2017 they moved to Mallorca and set up in an old abandoned heel factory in Costitx, which they remodelled and converted into Su Fábrica, an experimental play space dedicated to play, recycling and circus. Lîla is an artistic company dedicated to the creation and construction of large games with recycled objects. We set up large installations in the street, installations with scenic interventions, we go to fairs, festivals, schools, we offer circus and plastic arts workshops in our space, Sa Fábrica.
