After the unexpected death of Yaya, Angela decides to deal with her grief by turning the logic of the world on its head; by organizing a birthday party for her absent grandmother. This event brings her face-to-face with another conflict she has been denying. Now she not only has lost her grandmother, but also feels motherless. Her friend Cami, who sometimes seems to be herself or all the women in the world, accompanies her and makes her realize that the party hides questions she must be willing to face.

The emerging company La Resistencia Theatre was born in October 2019 from a need for union, collaboration, and innovation in the artistic community of the Balearic Islands, specifically on the island of Menorca, where the team is based. The group is made up of multidisciplinary artists who, with each creation, expand the network to include other collaborators with local and international experience. The inclusion of new languages in their scenic search constitutes an artistic reference in Menorca, working in a self-managed way and contemplating the Sustainability Objectives in the different stages of the creative process. In 2020 they conceived the company's first project. At that time, the pandemic posed a risk to the continuity of the process. It was then decided to continue confined to the same residence and give rise to the first two works of the company, both directed by the Argentine Gabriel Rosas. Under the same direction, in 2022 they premiered ‘Carrer de Sa Comèdia’, a play that won the Pedra Viva Award. In 2023, they produced the play Todos los Hombres que Somos directed by Endika Izquierdo. They are currently working on their fifth creation, Yo soy una Fiesta, directed by Lola Vera and winner of the ArtJove 2023 contest of the Balearic Islands. In addition, in 2023 they founded the Festival de Teatro Independent Ibero-American en Menorca (FITIM) with the collaboration of the Teatre Orfeó Mahonès, with an international programme and the participation of renowned workshop participants on the current theatre scene.
