FIRA B! OF MUSIC PROGRAM 56 CONCERTS OF ALL MUSICAL GENRES FROM NOVEMBER 2 TO 4 IN PALMA

The General Director of Culture of the Gobierno de las Islas Baleares, Ricarda Vicens, and the director of the Balearic Studies Institute, Llorenç Perelló, have today presented the eighth edition of Fira B! of Music. After the days 9, 10, 11 and 12 of October will be held ¡Fira B! of performing arts, now it's Fair B's turn! music that, from November 2 to 4, has scheduled a total of 56 free musical performances for the public in Palma.
"We have representation from all the Islands - Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza and Formentera - because Fira B! it brings together the cultural and professional sector, but also the territory", explained Perelló, who specified that there will also be national and international trainings, coming from countries such as Portugal, Lithuania, Ukraine, the Netherlands, Israel, the United Kingdom, Romania, Italy, Germany and the Czech Republic. Perelló also highlighted that Fira B! keep betting on the role of women in culture. "About 60% of the proposals presented have a female presence," he said.
The program includes concerts of all musical genres. Thus, on November 2 and 3, it will be the turn of jazz, indie singer-songwriters, rap, urban and pop music. And on November 4, that of roots music, classical music, Rock and electronic music. The venues for the performances will be the Es Baluard Cistern, the Mar y Terra Theater and Ses Voltes, thanks to the collaboration with the Palma City Council and the Es Baluard Museum of Contemporary Art. - Jazz: K12, Moisés Sánchez, Eva Fernández, Pedro Navarro, Xavi Torres, Alexandre Delange
- Pop/Singer-songwriters: Ana Lua Caiano, Reina, Jack in Water, Alanaire, MDMar, Everdeen
- Urban: LIA KALI, Plan-ET
- Roots music: Andrés Coll, Higos de otro costal, Oveja Negra, Korrontzi, Pepe Rivero & Ángela Cervantes
- Experimental: The Sara Fontán
Fira B! It is part of the Federation of music conferences network that unites the most prominent fairs in Europe.
Furthermore, thanks to the membership of Fira B! Within the Apropa Cultura program, the performances will have a reservation of places for Apropa Cultura.
PROFESSIONAL DAYS
Fira B! combines programming open to the general public and Professional Conferences. That is, activities aimed at the professional assistant sector. The objective is for these conferences to be a meeting and training space for professional artists to promote the external promotion of artists from the Balearic Islands, both nationally and internationally.
The Professional Conferences of the music industry will be on the 2nd and 3rd at the Teatre Mar i Terra. On November 4, they will be open to the general public and will be held at Ca n'Oleo.

Most of the speakers are programmers from festivals and very prominent venues at a national and international level: Glastonbury Festival, Primavera Sound, Last Tour, San Sebastián Jazz Festival, Le Rocher de Palmer, Budapest Music Center, Athens Music Week, Jodhpur Festival RIFF – Jodhpur (India), among many others. As well as music supervisors who have included music in series such as Stranger Things, Elite, Marvelous Mrs Maisel and films such as Once Upon in Time in Hollywood or Jojo Rabit, among others.
Within the framework of the Professional Conferences, various collaborations have been established with associations such as Plataforma Jazz España, Why Portugal/ AMAEI, MMF (Music Managers Forum of the Czech Republic) and SoundCzech, with the aim of relating to the Balearic industry and encourage exchange.
