Grec Festival of Barcelona 2024: An edition full of emotions and reflections
The Grec Festival of Barcelona 2024 has arrived in force, bringing a rich and varied programme that captivates both local audiences and international visitors. Elisenda Farré, coordinator of the IEB's Performing Arts Department, was present at the Professional Days and at the preview of the play "La calidesa", with text by Marta Barceló and directed by Tolo Ferrà. The play has received an enthusiastic reception, standing out for its emotional depth and the brilliant performance of its cast.
Within the GrecPro, the company "La Mecànica" was responsible for the executive production of the play "The second woman", which was a resounding success.
One of the highlights of the festival is "Accions Humanes No Identificades" by the "Hermanas Picohues", which will be performed on 5, 6, 12 and 13 July, from 5.30pm to 9.30pm. This play offers a critical look at the new (neoliberal) spiritualities and an exercise in intergenerational meditation, a techno-spiritual journey that will guide children and adults towards deprogramming and technological detoxification. A participatory experience that will make you think and reflect.
In addition, Mallorcan playwright Miquel Mas Fiol presents an innovative version of "Els Miserables", which promises to captivate audiences with a new vision of this timeless classic.
The Grec Festival 2024 continues to consolidate itself as one of the city's most important cultural events, offering a platform for creativity and artistic expression in all its forms.
