Lio Brepi participates in the Without Frontiers-Lunetta a Colori 2023 urban art festival with five sculptures from the “Auro” series. Distributed in different areas of the Lunetta neighborhood and accompanied by markers, they propose an interactive activity with the neighbours, so that they represent their illusions and the occurrences that arise at the moment.
The festival is hold from June 12 to 18. For the opening day on June 17, the five intervened works are put together on display, forming a moving sequence in a cartwheel. The proposal combines artistic creation with the cooperative action of the residents of the Lunetta and Mantua neighborhoods.
The Auro series is made up of sculptures based on the Fibonacci sequence and the golden ratio. Each series is made up of a variable number of human figures that, by adopting different postures, suggest a sequence of movement. The sculptures are made of plywood, with maximum dimensions of 120 x 140 x 60 cm per work.
Lio Brepi's proposal has been selected through an open call launched by the IEB.
