There are just six days left until the start of the 6th edition of the professional music and performing arts market of the Balearic Islands, Fira B!, which will be held between November 11 and 14 in Palma (Mallorca) with the aim of showcasing and promoting the latest and most representative creations by artists from the Balearic Islands.
La Fúmiga and Xanguito join the Fira B! programme of shows, which this year will feature 18 performing arts performances and 38 musical concerts. Both musical groups will be performing on Friday November 12 at Palma's Teatro Principal at 8pm and 9.30 pm, respectively.

Fira B! differentiates 5 stages according to the different musical styles: pop/rock/indie, jazz, electronic, classical, world music and contemporary. Among these performances, Janksy, as the opening concert, and the concert by the prestigious Argentine composer Martín Matalon, who on Saturday November 13th will conduct the premiere of the Ensemble Illes Sonores of the Orquesta Sinfónica de Baleares (OSIB) in Son Amar, with a performance of Metrópolis, the composition Matalon made for the restored copy of Fritz Lang's film.
Also taking part in Fira B! Voodoo Children, Jansky, Yoav Eshed Duo, Highlands Project, Joan Miquel Oliver & Albert Pinya, Carlota Cáceres, Anna Ferrer and Salvatge Cor, among others.
The performing arts programme includes text theatre, dance, new languages, physical theatre, performance, circus and street theatre. The performances include P-Acte Idiota, by Hermanas Picohueso; Nua (Radiografia d'un trastorn), by Ann Perelló; Las Muchísimas, by Mariantònia Oliver's company; Fils de Vida, by Iguana Teatre; Bravura, by Moviments; Aquell Carrer, by Produccions de Ferro; and Paradís, by El Somni Produccions, among others.
Fira B! takes place in Palma and its programme will be held in emblematic venues and stages in the city, such as the theatres Xesc Forteza, Catalina Valls, the Teatre Mar i Terra, the Teatre Principal, Es Baluard and the Plaça Major.

FIRA B! PRO-PROFESSIONAL DAYS AND FIRA B! LAB
Within the framework of Fira B! also takes place Fira B! PRO- Professional Conferences with the aim of being a meeting place for professionals and helping them to give visibility to their projects, as well as facilitating their external projection. In addition, this year Fira B! Labs has been created with the aim of expanding and giving continuity throughout the year to the professional conferences, which will not only be held during the days of Fira B! but will continue throughout 2022.
The organization of specialized meetings and continuous training in collaboration with other agents, such as the Escuela Superior de d'Art Dramàtic de les Illes Balears, the Associació de Dramaturgues i Dramaturgs de les Illes Balears, the Institut Ramon Llull, the Conservatori Superior de Música de les Illes Balears or the Orquestra Simfònica de les Illes Balears, among others, has been planned. "During the fair, we want to present the new Fira B! Labs platform to our strategic collaborators, FiraTàrrega and Mercat de Música Viva de Vic to incorporate their participation in the new project", explains the managing director of the Institute of Balearic Studies (IEB), Mateu Malondra.
Among the artists participating in the Jornades Professionals-Fira B! PRO include the actor Pep Tosar, who will talk with the journalist Elena Vallés; the director of the Sala Beckett, Toni Casares, who will take part in a round table on the projection of the performing arts abroad; Violeta Vasileva, director of international projects at Artshare; Rodrigo Canales, of the Santiago Off Festival in Chile; Mikey Martins, artistic director of the Freedom Festival in Hull; Antonia Álvarez, director of the Centro de las Artes Escénicas y Música de Extremadura (CEMART), or Serge Limbvani, from Festival Maloba - Festival International de Teatro, Danza y Circo del Congo, who will participate in conferences and will also be available for speed meetings.
